Aaron was born and raised in Bamberg, South Carolina.  He graduated from Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School in 2007.  He attended college at the University of South Carolina, where he double majored and graduated cum laude from the Darla Moore School of Business in 2011.  He then attended law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating cum laude and earning his Juris Doctor degree in 2015.  During his time in law school, he received the CALI (American Jurisprudence) Award in six classes, an award given to the highest final grade earned by a student in a law school class.

Aaron was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in November of 2015 and is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.  In 2018, Aaron was selected and participated in the American Board of Trial Advocate’s (ABOTA) National Trial College held at Yale Law School, and he is recognized as a Trial College Fellow with the American Board of Trial Advocates.

For over a decade, Aaron has engaged in a general practice representing clients in personal injury cases, general civil litigation cases (plaintiff and defense), probate cases, criminal defense cases, and real estate cases.  He has also developed a well-rounded law practice representing numerous local municipalities, counties, utilities, and banks in a wide array of matters, both transactional and litigation.  He appears in state and federal courts with regularity and has tried numerous jury trials and bench trials to verdict.  From time-to-time, you may also find him in the Appellate Courts of this state, representing clients on Appeal.  Aaron is a member of the South Carolina Association of Justice, the Second Circuit Public Defender Selection Panel, and the National College for DUI Defense.  He is a partner in the law firm of Ness & Jett, LLC.

Aaron is married to Allie Ness (a 1st Grade Teacher), and they live in Bamberg with their two sons.
