R. Aaron NessPartner
At Ness & Jett, Aaron is engaged in a general practice, dedicated to Civil Litigation (Plaintiff and Defense), Probate, Criminal Defense, and Real Estate.
Aaron was born and raised in Bamberg, South Carolina. He attended college at the University of South Carolina, where he double-majored and graduated cum laude (with honors) with a Bachelor of Science in Insurance and Business Management from the Darla Moore School of Business in 2011.
Aaron then attended law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating cum laude (with honors) and earning his J.D. in May of 2015. During his time in law school, he received the CALI (American Jurisprudence) Award in six classes, an award given to the highest final grade earned by a student in a law school class. After law school, Aaron was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in November of 2015.
In 2018, Aaron was selected and participated in the American Board of Trial Advocate’s (ABOTA) National Trial College held at Yale Law School. Aaron is recognized as a Trial College Fellow with the American Board of Trial Advocates. Since his time at Ness & Jett, Aaron has tried numerous jury trials and bench trials to verdict.
Aaron is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, and all South Carolina state courts.
Aaron is married to Allie Ness (a 1st Grade Teacher), and they live in Bamberg with their two sons.
