She is a South Carolina native, having lived in many towns and cities, including Hardeeville, Charleston, Rock Hill, Gramling, Bluffton, Saluda, Barnwell, and Bamberg.
Mrs. Hood graduated Salutatorian from Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, in 2000, and from Duke University in 2004 with a degree in Religion and a minor in Political Science, and from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2008 with a J.D. While at the University of South Carolina School of Law, Mrs. Hood received the CALI award in Labor Law.
She was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2008, and is also admitted to practice before the South Carolina District Court and 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.
She is engaged in general practice with an emphasis on civil actions. Mrs. Hood is an associate in the firm of Ness & Jett, LLC, in Bamberg, and resides in Barnwell County.
